Named for the Pleiades star cluster, 7 Sisters gathers seven points of light against a surface of near-total darkness. The depth of BLK 3.0 absorbs the surrounding light, while phosphorescent details slowly reveal themselves after dark, allowing the painting to shift between what is visible and what is remembered.
 
The work considers sisterhood as a kind of constellation: separate bodies held together by history, distance, and an invisible sense of belonging. Even when one light becomes difficult to see, its place within the formation remains.
