Located in the Eagle Nebula the Pillars of Creation is a star nursery. This means the gases and intensity of this region begin to collapse under their own gravity, slowly heat up, and eventually form new stars. Made famous as one of the first Hubble images released we are still studying and finding more about this ever changing region in the cosmos.
