WRITING
Fallon Rae is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, and educator whose creative practice spans poetry, visual art, teaching, and community engagement. Published since the age of twelve, she has developed a body of writing that explores memory, identity, the body, food, recovery, mythology, and transformation.
Her writing is closely connected to her visual practice, often beginning with the same images, materials, and questions that inform her paintings, sculpture, and educational work. Through poetry and nonfiction, she examines how personal experience can be shaped into language. How acts of nourishment, storytelling, and making can become forms of reflection and connection.
She often uses writing as a form of detachment. Vague analogies give perspective to what is growing beneath the soil.
